Standing on the Giza Plateau, surrounded by monuments that have watched 4,500 years of human history unfold, I couldn’t help but feel incredibly small and incredibly grateful at the same time. But what moves me most isn’t just the stone and the history it’s the people. The guides who speak about their ancestors’ legacy with fire in their eyes. The locals who wave you over and share tea with a stranger. The fellow travelers who cross your path for just a moment and somehow leave a mark that stays with you long after you’ve landed back home. Every person I’ve met on this journey has added something to who I am. That’s not something I take lightly.
