growing up is a successive unfolding of secret worlds you never knew existed until things happen to you. here i’m captured my by sister @eletrik_algae, on the edge of my threshold into motherhood, my baby in his first unfolding.. the first place of belonging. This is how we all began, in the transforming worlds of our mothers. I wish there was more than one day that brought light to this journey. what if all the money that goes into getting people to buy things on mother’s day would be able to go into the incredibly vast tapestry of support that every mother needs. I’m realizing it’s secretly more than anyone ever admits to. I’m still shocked by the grief of how there is not enough infrastructure on women’s health, fertility support, postpartum care and childcare, the very foundations of life in every sense.. of course this differs from societies but the vast majority is just insane. Anyways i am very privileged in the place in the world i am in so it gives me to chance to reflect more on this.… Also, as i am feeling this heaviness I am also in so much gratitude for the incredible communities of mothers and midwives that have helped me through the last months and also my mama ❤️❤️❤️ my little one in his Lola’s arms in the last photo 🫠😌 happy mother’s day #mothersday
