Beyond the limits of a single frame. 🎞️ In 1998, Hasselblad introduced the XPan, rethinking how a 35mm camera could be used. Built around standard 35mm film, it offers two image formats within a single body, allowing photographers to switch between a familiar frame and a panoramic view without changing film. Rather than cropping the image, the XPan extends it across the full width of the negative, preserving detail while opening up a wider perspective. This approach brings panoramic photography into an everyday shooting experience. With its rangefinder design, elongated form, and quiet operation, the XPan encourages a slower and more considered way of composing, capturing space, rhythm, and the flow of a scene.
