- anyone who knows me fr is aware that for last 22 years i’ve been constantly separated from my family, with most of my closest friends never having met my mom, brother or sister… Honestly speaking, I’ve never said this; but the way I’ve dealt with that geographical disconnect is to treat anyone I fuck with, with love first, trust, support, having your back, & unlimited boosting- iykyk to anyone who has known me for the last 20 years, I have a bloodline of family that regardless of distance, we all know at our core who we are. we all share the same characteristics of keeping it real and treating whomever we consider family, as FAMILY, and we all got that from my grandma and grandpa. This weekend I lost my grandpa and it’s hella hard for me to process. How do i explain to my friends that never met my family that i have a family…I actually know my grandpa. He was born in 1923, lived through Italian occupation, our war for independence, and 31 years after that. Back home and to my blood family here, all our parents know he was the OG, he was the patriarch…but because of circumstance, most of yall would never know that. I say all that, to say this; my grandpa lived 99 years on this earth and unintentionally has made me the way I am.
