Amid the recent ‘Miss Guam’ conversation, I felt it was important to create something meaningful in response. Our goal was to highlight what true Guam queens look like and, more importantly, to share the voices and values they represent. This project feels especially significant as we celebrate both Mes CHamoru and Women’s History Month, two occasions that honor identity, heritage, and the strength of women in our community. It was truly an honor to have so many former Guam queens be part of this project. We are also fortunate to have award-winning director Brian Muna on board to lead the video shoot and Inspo Studio to offer us their awesome space and photo service.
