Last Night, my daughter @Kharapedre graduated from high school. This moment is filled with gratitude. The screenshot in slide 2 was taken just minutes before my arrest on December 21, 2025. In that conversation, Khara was worried. I tried to reassure her. Neither of us knew what was about to happen. What followed were 69 days in detention. I missed Christmas. I missed New Year’s. I missed her birthday on January 7. Every time we spoke, I would apologize for those moments I couldn’t get back. And every time, I would make her the same promise: “I will be there for your graduation.” Last night, by the grace of God, I was. There were days when I didn’t know how things would unfold. There were moments of uncertainty, frustration, and pain. But through it all, God remained faithful. He carried me through some of the darkest days of my life and allowed me to be present for one of the brightest days in my daughter’s life. For that, I am deeply thankful. Khara, congratulations on graduating from high school. I am proud of your accomplishments, but even more proud of your character. Your strength, resilience, faith, and love carried you through a difficult season that neither of us chose. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your love. Today is a reminder that God’s timing is perfect, that storms don’t last forever, and that promises made in faith can be fulfilled. As I watched you walk across that stage, I wasn’t focused on what we had lost. I was grateful for what we had been given: another chance, another chapter, and a moment we will never forget.
