I isolated myself, missed events, deleted distractions, spent every day doing UWorld, NBMEs, reviewing First Aid, pushing through burnout, anxiety, and exhaustion just to chase one goal. So opening my score report and seeing “FAIL” felt unreal. Like everything around me went silent for a second. But the hardest part wasn’t even the result; it was feeling like all the hard work meant nothing. And honestly? That mindset will destroy you if you let it. Because this exam does not define your intelligence, your future, or the kind of doctor you’ll become. Sometimes life humbles you before it elevates you.
