Was able to squeeze in some #jalanjalan over the past two days in Nanning. Took in some fresh morning air at Qingxiu mountain (青秀山) yesterday, the ‘green lung’ of Nanning. Enjoyed the lush greenery, beautiful landscaping, and picturesque city views. Also learnt more about cycads, an ancient group of plants tracing back to the dinosaurs. Was also delighted to stroll around the historic and cultural district Sanjie Liangxiang (三街两巷), which translates to “Three Streets and Two Alleys”. I was introduced to the local street food, and tried my hands at weaving a brocade. I am told the streets get prettier when the lights come on at night. Heading to Shanghai next.
