This weekend I had the absolute honour and privilege to be in Koh Samui to be my friend’s HMUA for her wedding 🫶🏻 I thought about what makeup meant to me for the longest time, having being a content creator for more than a decade specialising in beauty. The answers that came to me were simple - playing with makeup makes me happy, it makes me feel pretty, makes me more confident and yes, with makeup I can feel powerful and more importantly makes me believe I can be a completely different person, who I want to be. Leading up to today I’ve been quietly studying and honing my skills to do makeup on others. Studying facial structures, learning about styles, products, textures and how to have it last in the humid and rainy Koh Samui weather on my friend’s very oily skin. So yes.. you can expect the nerves 😬 but you know, change and growth is always uncomfortable, and I haven’t felt so proud and happy to see what I’ve created in a long time. While there’s much much more to learn, I know it’s gonna be less nerve wrecking from now on. I’ve been getting lots of DMs about bridal makeup/hair rates, and personal makeup needs - right now I’m taking in makeup clients but only bridal (mainly because of the commitment & time) so if you’re getting married, hit me up 🫶🏻 As for 1-1 makeup classes, I’m working on something! But it’s gonna be awhile more as I only want to give the best experience to you guys always.
