  • Brissago, Switzerland
  • No, it’s not a poster. It's a real-life photo of Switzerland. It shows the picturesque village of #Brissago, which lies on the Italian border and at the lowest point in Switzerland (197 metres above sea level). To reach the Dufourspitze – the highest peak in the country at 4,634 metres above sea level – from here, you would have to scale 4,437 metres. To put that into perspective, if a staircase led directly from Brissago to the Dufourspitze, you would have to climb an impressive 25,000 steps. Not a bad way to improve your fitness :-) Would you be up for the challenge? Go for it! ;-) Thanks for this amazing photo, @christofs70.

I love every little town that I've been to on Lake Maggiore but have not made it here! Any other small towns on Maggiore that you'd recommend?
