From the red carpet of the @redseafilm Red Sea International Film Festival, I was honored and truly delighted by the invitation and by my presence there. It is a young festival, yet one that is already gaining momentum, with an impact that is felt over time. I loved the spirit of bringing multiple worlds and cultures together, reducing — even eliminating — the boundaries between artistic backgrounds. It is a festival that also honors the greats and global icons, as well as young talents and local voices from the Arab world. What I love most, and what inspires me most in art, is its revealing power and its celebratory nature. Cinema is one of the most direct forms of expression. Everything that is fictional — including us and our own lives — uncovers and reflects so many facets and so many dimensions that we often avoid seeing altogether.
