Not my usual mural post. Because this is the part people don’t see. Clearly it’s not always pretty walls, nice locations and golden light. 😅 Sometimes it looks like dirty floor, uneven surface, painting at night in Rose Hill, back hurting, paint everywhere 💀 Sometimes it also means dealing with men being a bit too comfortable making you feel uncomfortable. (on souffle hein…) I’ll be honest… I will always choose slide 3 over slide 4 !!! Give me a shitty floor over that kind of energy any day. This project really pushed me. Physically, mentally… everything. 🥴 It forced me to adapt, figure things out on the spot, and keep going even when it’s not ideal. But it also made me realise how much the people around you matter. I got so lucky on this one. So many amazing women showed up. Like 98% women team (ok… let’s not forget Charlie & Joel 🫶). But it also says a lot… that even like this, being a group of women working at night still doesn’t fully feel safe. But the vibe there made everything lighter. The laughs, the support, just everyone being genuinely happy to be there. Thank you again to everyone, I really wouldn’t have made it without you 🤍 Also just to be fully transparent… for the future, this type of surface + heavy daily traffic is not something I’d now recommend if you want something that stays looking fresh over time. It gets dirty, it wears out fast. That’s just the reality we discovered. But beyond that… it was such a cool experience. Messy, intense, a bit chaotic… but a real adventure. I genuinely loved working on it, even if I’m not sure our backs have fully recovered yet 😂 Thank you again @fashionhouse_mauritius for trusting me with this one 🌴 Can I also flex that the final still looks like what the client approved beforehand… even in these conditions + a few tweaks on the spot? 😌💅
