Born in Ginger Village, Alana Bibby Clouden, daughter of Candis Bibby, is a proud past student of Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia whose journey reflects resilience, faith, and determination. Today, she is the owner of Lana’s Kitchen & Bar in Prospect, where she provides daily meals and catering services for all occasions. Alana credits EHSM for helping shape the woman she is today by instilling values such as discipline, teamwork, communication, and resilience. She especially cherishes the guidance of teachers like Mr. Brian Burke, who remains available whenever called upon, and Mr. Rufus Collins, her scripture teacher, who taught her the importance of always believing in God. Her love for cooking was strengthened through Home Economics, taught by Mrs. Samantha Porter, which inspired her passion for the culinary field and eventually led her into life as a chef and entrepreneur. What began as a small home delivery service eventually grew into the successful business she operates today. Alana married the love of her life, Mr. Robert Clouden, whom she describes as her steadfast supporter and greatest encourager throughout her journey. Her advice to present students is to remain focused, disciplined, and never give up on their dreams, because hard work and perseverance will always leave lasting footprints behind.
