Burak Yeter has set the world record for the highest-altitude music performance 🛰️ Earlier this month, the Amsterdam-based Turkish DJ became the first musician to perform in the stratosphere, as part of his groundbreaking One Day In Space project. The high-altitude flight mission took off from Barcelona, Spain on 8th May and saw Burak Yeter rise to the earth’s outer atmosphere in a stratospheric balloon. All the while, Yeter was performing a livestreamed DJ set full of special edits, remixes and remakes. “I’ve always believed that music has no limits,” he shared. “With One Day In Space, I wanted to take that belief to the skies — literally. Performing in the stratosphere was not just a dream come true, it was a message: the future of music is limitless, and it’s time to explore the unknown.” Described as a “fusion of music, technology, and aviation”, the project aimed to extend the boundaries of creative innovation in live performance. One Day In Space was made possible through the collaboration of partners including DJ Mag, AlphaTheta, We Rave You, and more. Following the success of the project, Burak Yeter announced a 360° space-themed concert experience, taking place on 27th June in Kuşadası, Turkey.
