This limited edition of three Golden Ellipse wristwatches in yellow gold represents part of the painting “Qingming Festival on the Banks of the River” inspired from the original 12th-century piece by the Chinese artist Zhang Zeduan, measuring a gigantic 11.5 meters in length. The dial is hand-engraved with a pattern of wavelets and coated with translucent blue enamel, creating the illusion of a river in motion. This decoration was then adorned with 8 colors of miniature painting on enamel with details of people and architectural features from the original work, thus bringing the scene to life with extraordinary precision. The yellow-gold Golden Ellipse case contains a solid caseback and harmonious proportions inspired by the ancient golden section. The alligator leather strap in shiny green is endowed with a prong buckle in yellow gold, reflecting the elliptical shape of the case.
